Bridging Hearts, ending Loneliness trough Meditation
Inner work on connection, awareness and right perception.
Meditation is an ancient practice. In terms of health, the benefits of regular practice are increasingly well studied, particularly in stress management, with positive effects on sleep quality and on levels of anxiety and depression. When it comes to loneliness, meditation plays an especially important role. It does not do this by replacing human contact, but by changing the way we relate to the moments when we are on our own. It teaches us to welcome our own company with greater calm, to acknowledge sadness without letting it overwhelm us, and to turn silence into a space for rest rather than emptiness. Practices such as Loving-Kindness meditation nurture feelings of warmth and connection with others, making it easier to open ourselves up to new relationships. Being alone thus no longer means being lonely, and instead becomes an opportunity to get to know and take care of ourselves.
